This webinar will provide participants with an overview of the various federal and state laws that govern interstate custody cases. Case scenarios will be used to demonstrate how practitioners can help survivors address the economic, safety, and legal issues involved when they cross state or tribal lines to flee abuse.
Exploring the Many Faces of Manhood. Influential and passionate voices will examine healthy, respectful manhood in athletics, education, incarceration, fatherhood, faith communities and around issues of gender. As men are empowered to be their authentic selves, we will collectively create a world where all men and boys are loving and respectful and all women and girls are valued and safe.
Welcome to the 5th National Safe and Together Symposium. After an extremely successful 2016 event, we are excited to announce that this year’s symposium will focus on adult survivors' capacities as parents, voices of children, working with men as parents, and advancing domestic violence-informed practice in Texas.
Enhancing Organizational Capacity for Our Communities is a 2 day training that will bring together about 30 participants who are interested in strengthening their capacity to effectively manage, operate and sustain their organizations. The goal of this training is to increase the organizational capacity of OVW grantees and their partners serving culturally specific, rural, tribal, and underserved communities.
