This brochure was developed for use in local Pennsylvania domestic violence programs and other organizations that provide services to victims of abuse. It has sections describing: the types of abuse (physical, mental, sexual, property or economic) that battered women experience, how to get help, common domestic violence program services including telephone hotlines, counseling centers, shelters and safe homes, legal protections available including Pennsylvania's Protection From Abuse Order; and, tips on ways to be prepared before, during and after violence occurs. The brochure also includes a list per county of all Pennsylvania 24-hour hotline numbers. It is a two-sided five-panel brochure presenting the information in Spanish (en Español) on one side and in English on the other.
