Addressing the Violence Before It Starts: Domestic Violence Primary Prevention Plan
Publisher(s):As part of CDC’s DELTA program, the Rhode Island State Steering Committee developed this domestic violence primary prevention plan as the first step in a long-term process to alter cultural norms, attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors that support domestic violence. Maxillofacial Injuries and Violence Against Women
Publisher(s):This study reveals that victims of intimate partner violence are likely to suffer certain types of fractures around the eye or upper face, which differ from facial injuries sustained by other types of assaults or accidents. These results, in conjunction with other presenting circumstances, such as delay in presentation, can assist the surgeon treating patients with maxillofacial injury in recognizing intimate partner violence.
