An Online Resource Library on Gender-Based Violence.

For Young People

A camping and mentoring program specifically designed for children exposed to domestic violence and trauma. Camp HOPE uses an evidence- and values-based curriculum to teach children adn teens about safety and healing.

Girl Scouts of the USA: The world's preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls--all girls--where, in an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build character and skills for success in the real world. In partnership with committed adult volunteers, girls develop qualities intended to serve them all their lives, such as leadership, strong values, social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth, promoting action to "Dosomething to make the world a better place."

GenderYOUTH Network: A project of the Gender Public Advocacy Coalition, the GenderYOUTH Network is an online forum for youth activists combating discrimination and violence caused by gender stereotypes.

Positive Youth Development: A U.S. inter-agency collaborative focused on connecting youth to positive experiences. This website serves as a link to various videos, podcasts, webinars, and websites focused on positive youth development.

YouthResource: This website is by and for LGBTQ young people. It provides information on sexual health, culture, activism, message boards, and online peer education. Additionally, it has links to external resources and hotlines.

Trans Youth Equality Foundation: For Youth: This website provides education, advocacy, and support for transgender, gender non-conforming, and gender creative youth and their families.

It Gets Better Project: This website provides positive and encouraging messages to LGBTQ youth who may be experiencing bullying and harassment. It also provides links to external resources and supports for youth.

Youth Move National: This youth led organization promotes positive growth and development by connecting young people who have lived experiences with mental health, juvenile justice, education, and child welfare systems to advocate for youth rights and voices in systems change.

Healthy Relationships

loveisrespect_logo.pngLove Is Respect’s mission is to engage, educate, and empower young people to prevent and end abusive relationships, offering resources on dating basics and healthy relationships under “Relationships 101.” They also have quizzes and a blog with great information about dating and relationships.

Founded in 1998, Scarleteen.com is visited by around five million diverse people each year -- around 5,000 of whom they typically speak with directly through our direct services and in-person outreach -- most between the ages of 15 and 25.
