In this webinar, the authors of the book Abusive Endings: Separation and Divorce Violence Against Women will discuss their recent book analyzing why and how men abuse women during and after a separation or divorce. They define separation violence broadly, as sometimes the separation is emotional distancing rather than physically leaving a shared home. They will discuss the extent and distribution of separation assault, new technologies that increase vulnerabilities and the role of Family Court in keeping women connected to abusive fathers. Finally, they will offer important suggestions for reducing risks to women post-separation.
