The presence of domestic violence can have a profound impact on alternative dispute resolution processes, especially regarding the safety of families. This highly interactive workshop is for court-based mediators and court-based staff who provide any form of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and are seeking to enhance their understanding of domestic violence dynamics. After this workshop, participants will be better able to identify the various types of ADR services offered in your community and the challenges that come up in domestic violence cases. Participants will then be able to better develop practices to promote safety, both programmatically and in individual cases.
