Bridges: A Connect Call for Asians, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders Addressing Gender-Based Violence | RSVP Form

Event Date
Tuesday, October 26, 2021, 03:00PM

These bi-monthly community connect calls from the Asian Pacific Institute on Gender-Based Violence (API-GBV) are intended to be a space for AANHPI advocates, community members, and allies to connect, dialogue, share successes, problem solve, and network. API-GBV staff will be available to moderate and encourage discussion, but this is a space for YOU, as the experts of this work, to share your experiences and to learn from allies across the country.

October's Theme: Raising Awareness During Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Beyond

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month we celebrate 1 year of Bridges! Since October 2020, the bi-monthly Bridges calls have gathered allies from all across our movement in dialogue and discussion around AANHPI identities, experiences, and needs. Join the conversation this October 26th, 2021 in celebration of the Bridges anniversary and in recognition of DVAM.

On this call, participants will discuss strategies for breaking the silence around domestic violence and broadening outreach to AANHPI communities during DVAM. API-GBV wants to hear about and be inspired by the events, virtual and in person, your organization is hosting this October to engage communities in starting conversations around healthy relationships and relationship abuse. API-GBV also wants to learn about ways to carry this conversation beyond DVAM, because domestic violence awareness should be year-round.
