Economic Empowerment Train-the-Trainer

Event Date
Thursday, April 08, 2021, 01:00PM

Through this session, trainers learn how to further empower survivors through financial literacy. Economic abuse is a tactic many abusers use to maintain power and control over their partners. Victims of abuse are often left with little income, poor credit and a feeling of dependence on their abusers for basic living needs. The Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence invites advocates and staff members from community-based organizations to this "train-the-trainer" session on The Allstate Foundation's Moving Ahead Curriculum. This session will provide attendees with an overview of financial literacy, instructions on how to use this tool and free copies of the curriculum.
