Event Date
Thursday, April 22, 2021, 10:00AM

Social service advocates and advocates for domestic and sexual assault survivors play a critical role in identifying the intersection of intimate partner violence, sexual assault and human trafficking in their work with clients. This training will describe the importance of culturally responsive methods in engaging survivors of human trafficking to provide the necessary supports needed to empower victims. This framework is a holistic approach to assess human trafficking, underscoring the importance of survivor trust and wellbeing. Training will include the presentation of the “Human Trafficking Screening Tool and Reference Guide for Latin@s Accessing Domestic Violence Shelters and Programs,” a product of Casa de Esperanza.
