Intersections of Tech Abuse and Domestic Violence: Best Practices for Serving Survivors of Technological Abuse

Event Date
Tuesday, October 20, 2020, 01:00PM

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the use of technology became a central part of our daily personal and professional affairs. Now, as we all experience the challenges of living in a COVID-19 world, our reliance on technology has been amplified. This new reliance on technology and remote services has brought with it a new set of challenges, such as new methods for abusers to control and stalk their victims and new concerns about confidentiality of information.

This webinar will provide domestic violence advocates accurate, user-friendly information about how survivors can use technology to protect themselves. In addition, participants will learn methods for using technology to secure the identity, privacy, and confidentiality of survivors.
