Objectives:

• Identify how to elicit change talk from clients while maintaining cultural focus
• Hands-on training in skills in how to talk to clients in a neutral, empowering way, reducing defensiveness and reluctance
• Examine and evaluate current strategies in navigating uncomfortable conversations around trauma and its effects with cultural humility and understanding of the client’s individual cultural framework
