The Psychological Harm of Anti-Immigrant Policies

Event Date
Wednesday, September 20, 2017, 02:00PM

Deportation policies, anti-immigrant climate, and action to end the DACA program create anxiety, anger, and shame, as well as break community trust between immigrant communities and government agencies. These policies, along with traumatic and often violent migratory experiences, put the physical and mental health of immigrants at risk. In this session, we will hear from advocates and community members about issues that affect the psyche of immigrant people and key ways to support their wellbeing. This webinar is presented by the California Immigrant Health Network.
