Screening, Assessment, and Intervention Model for Intimate Partner Violence Perpetration and Co-Occurring Combat-Related Conditions

Event Date
Wednesday, February 14, 2018, 03:00PM

This webinar will introduce BWJP’s new resource, "Screening, Assessment, and Intervention Model for Intimate Partner Violence Perpetration and Co-Occurring Combat-Related Conditions." The guide’s authors will present a model for understanding military and veteran-related intimate partner violence (IPV) and examine IPV’s relationship to co-occurring conditions common among current and former service members. They will then recommend a community-wide approach to screening, assessment, and intervention that will assist communities to intervene more effectively in these cases and prevent further violence in military and veteran families. Criminal justice professionals (law enforcement, attorneys, judges, pretrial services/probation/parole officers, healthcare and mental health professionals, victim advocates, and IPV intervention programs staff) will benefit from this webinar and the guide.
