The National Resource Center on Domestic Violence (NRCDV) invites you to attend our upcoming Policy and Research Briefing next Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 1:00 - 3:00pm ET.
Join us for an exciting panel discussion! NRCDV’s Shenna Morris (Director of Policy) will provide a policy overview and Lavon Morris Grant (Director of Community Engagement) will moderate a discussion with panelists Marsha R. Curry-Nixon (Founder and Executive Director, Amiracle4sure) and Renee Lopez (Disability Rights Activist) to talk about the preliminary results of our national needs assessment. We’ll uplift:
- Current and emerging housing needs of BIPOC survivors of gender-based violence,
- Innovative practices, housing approaches, and interventions being used with BIPOC survivors,
- Recommendations for policymakers, funders, service providers, and advocates in both housing and domestic/sexual violence domains.
In closing, Dilcia Molina (Co-founder and Director, Madre Tierra) and Gabriela López-Zerón, PhD (Michigan State University) will present the report and conclusions from their research with Latinx immigrant survivors on community connections, securing housing, and living with dignity.
We would be thrilled to have you join us on Zoom! Please register using this link. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
