This movement – our movement to end domestic violence – is rooted in social justice and fueled by passion. Survivors, advocates, and allies are all working together, driven by a common goal but inspired by our unique experiences and worldviews. Some are new to this work, others have dedicated a lifetime, but all of us bring value to advancing and shaping our mission; defining and redefining what social change looks like and how we can achieve it together. This October, for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the NRCDV is asking: What does the movement mean to you? Share your inspiration at #WhyICare, and join the #WhyICare Twitter Chat to help us honor our history, discover our present, and explore our future with renewed passion.
