Talking Trash: Retaliation Against Victims of Sexually-Based Offenses Within the Military

Event Date
Thursday, August 31, 2017, 11:00AM

Retaliatory behavior toward military victims who report sexual assault and associated crimes is commonplace. Studies indicate that more than half of all such victims experience some type of negative response. Whether the response constitutes workplace retribution vice social ostracism is often difficult to determine. Join Battered Women's Justice Project for a discussion of how retaliation is defined in the military as well as the legal and administrative measures in place to protect those who file reports or complaints.
