Violent Crime Against Youth, 1994-2010

General Material

This report explores overall trends in violent crime against youth ages 12 to 17. Information on the demographic characteristics of the victim, the location and time of the incident, weapon involvement and injury, the victim-offender relationship, and whether police were notified is included. Findings indicate that female youth were more likely than male youth to be victimized by an intimate partner from 1994 to 2010.
