Today is #GivingTuesday.
Over the past 10 months, our country has seen many changes and challenges. While some of the challenges, such as living in a world-wide pandemic are new adjustments, there are other challenges that have been long-lived in our history. The racial and economic injustice that stems from the systemic racism within our institutions is not new to our country, and certainly not new to African Americans and other racial and ethnic groups that have long suffered over and over again.
We will not accept this, and we are asking you to not accept it either.
Because of the way NRCDV is funded, we cannot do the work to eradicate anti-Blackness and dismantle white supremacy in the ways we would like.
We are asking for your help by supporting us this #GivingTuesday so that we can collaborate with Black leadership and communities to create a sustainable, long-term plan to address anti-Blackness in the movement to end gender-based violence without current funding restrictions.
