For the eleventh consecutive year, on September 14, 2016, NNEDV conducted a one-day unduplicated count of adults and children seeking domestic violence services in the United States. This annual census documents the number of individuals who sought services in a single 24-hour period, as well as the types of services requested, the number of service requests that went unmet due to a lack of resources, and the issues and barriers that domestic violence programs face as they strive to provide services to victims of domestic violence.

This toolkit is a resource for multidisciplinary professionals, policy makers, volunteers, faith communities, and others involved in anti-trafficking work. It provides information on a variety of topics related to human trafficking with a specific focus on mentoring for commercial sexual exploitation victims.

This report examines the relationship between gang violence and sexual and gender-based violence in El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala, and provides recommendations for prevention and response efforts.

Research into domestic violence fatalities shows that an abuser’s attempt to strangle the victim can be a dramatic predictor of future lethality in intimate partner violence cases. Section 2718 amends Title 18 of the Pennsylvania crimes code and allows defendants to be charged with the crime of strangulation - as well as felony charges in domestic violence cases.
