The purpose of this 4-part Technical Assistance Guidance (TAG) series, Serving Black Women Survivors of Intimate Partner Violence, is to give advocates the tools and practical strategies to identify, reach, and effectively serve Black women-identified survivors of intimate partner violence. Part 3 helps advocates to address reproductive coercion, non-fatal strangulation, and domestic homicide in the lives of Black survivors.

The National Resource Center on Domestic Violence, in collaboration with partners from across the Northeast region of the United States, held our fourth virtual Prevention Town Hall on September 13 and 14, 2023.

This National Prevention Town Hall uplifted innovative prevention approaches in the Northeast region of the United States that build solidarity across movements to disrupt systems of violence that disproportionately harm Black women and gender expansive individuals. Presenters engaged participants in conversations around critical issues impacting Black women, youth, and gender expansive individuals including reproductive justice and housing as a basic human need and right.  

Doulas provide invaluable support to pregnant and birthing people - but doula support is available across a wide variety of experiences, including abortion, miscarriage, and stillbirth. The people who provide this essential care are commonly called full-spectrum doulas.
