Most people associate judicial integrity with an accountability, transparency and integrityagenda. But without unrestricted access to justice, does judicial integrity really exist? Can itsurvive beyond glorious declarations or official pronouncements? If people do not have access tojudicial services, they will not be able to get redress, and, judge quality of justice. It is likely thatpublic confidence in the judicial system will suffer.

This report describes atrocities against children during times of conflict, calling on G8 countries to take the following action:

• Place children at the centre of internationalaction on sexual violence in conflict
• Fund the protection of childrenand the prevention of violence
• End impunity for sexual violenceagainst children
• Ensure the UN has the mandate, capacityand resources to play its role in protectingchildren from sexual violence

Given the widespread health, legal, social and economic implications of elder abuse, the Elder Justice Roadmap Project sought the input of experts and stakeholders from across the country in order to develop a strategic resource ‹ by the field and for the field ‹ to combat elder abuse, neglect and financial exploitation. Likewise, it provides a roadmap for strategic investment and engagement by policymakers in both the public and private sectors to advance our collective efforts to prevent and combat elder abuse at the local, state and national levels.
