The purpose of this article is to strengthen advocates’ and coalitions’ capacity to analyze their reporting and confidentiality obligations, and to help them located the information they need to analyze how to provide safe and victim-centered advocacy.
This document presents and discusses basic organizing principles for engaging men in ending violence against women. These principles include have been developed, reviewed and refined over two decades and include keeping women’s voices and experiences central to the work, exploring racial justice, intersectionality of violence, and eliminating patriarchy.
This handbook outlines the international and regional legal and policy framework which mandates States to adopt and implement National Action Plans to address VAW, including a model framework for adoption.
This handbook is intended to assist States and other stakeholders in enhancing existing or developing new laws to protect women. Included here are a summary of international and legal policy framework, a model framework for legislation on VAW, and a checklist of steps to be taken when drafting the legislation.
