This report presents the results on issues related to sexual assault from the 2010 Workplace and Gender Relations Survey of Active Duty Members (WGRA 2010).

This briefing was organized to provide the policy community with an update on how the healthy marriage and domestic violence fields were beginning to collaborate to promote safety.

The Resource Guide was developed for relationship and marriage educators and program administrators to help them understand and respond to domestic violence issues that may arise within their programs.

This paper explores the challenges, opportunities and lessons learned in the course of providing consultation and technical assistance about domestic violence protocol development at sites currently receiving federal funds for healthy marriage activities, and with domestic violence advocates attempting to partner with these programs and others. By way of establishing a context for the analysis, the paper provides a brief discussion on domestic violence prevalence and links to the marriage promotion debate.

In this interview, Julia Perilla presents a community psychologist’s perspective on the definition of domestic violence, describes the importance of understanding the cultural, historical and economic context in which domestic violence occurs, the many ways in which violence can be experienced, and how these forms of violence are linked.
