As the world learns to live with COVID-19, to emerge from the current crisis, and to “build back better,” UN Women’s new “Feminist plan” provides a visionary but practical roadmap for putting gender equality, social justice, and sustainability at the centre of the recovery and transformation. The “Feminist plan” maps the ambitious and transformative policies—on livelihoods, care, and the environment—that are needed to build a more equal and sustainable future.

This Technical Assistance (TA) Bundle includes resources to help advocates and service providers increase their capacity around serving male-identified victims. Promising practices are shared throughout the resources to invite those helping survivors in developing programs and services to support survivors across the gender spectrum.  

The National Resource Center on Domestic Violence and the National LGBTQ Institute on IPV is pleased to host this this transformative opportunity for gender-based violence practitioners and researchers who engage in community-based participatory research to learn new methods, share skills, and create meaningful collaborations that will have a positive impact on their work in our communities. The Adult Children Exposed to Domestic Violence (ACE-DV) Leadership Forum is shifting the paradigm from deficit to growth – supporting the development of trauma-informed, culturally responsive, asset-based policies and practices that enhance resilience capacity in those who experience childhood trauma. This training explores how domestic violence shapes children’s lives and impacts parenting, with an emphasis on the assets and strengths of families who survive this experience together.
