Every 3rd day the murder of a trans person is reported

"In April 2009 the international NGO Transgender Europe (TGEU) in cooperation with the multi-lingual scientific Online-Magazine 'Liminalis - a Journal for Sex/Gender Emancipation and Resistance' started a new research project on collecting, monitoring, and analyzing reports of murdered trans people on a worldwide scale. The first step of this ongoing research project is the so called Trans Murder Monitoring Project, the preliminary results of which are published here at this early stage of the project in order to inform about the project and to win supporters and cooperation partners."

Confidentiality: An Advocate's Guide, Record-Keeping and Information-Sharing

Victim/survivor files and program files pose the risk that confidential information about victim/survivors could be released, breaching their right to privacy, undermining their legal interests and/or compromising their safety. Domestic violence and sexual assault programs have a fiduciary responsibility to protect confidential communications and records of victim/survivors that they serve.

Guidelines for Record Keeping for Sexual Assault Advocates

Record keeping in advocacy programs is necessary and important for several different purposes. But, record keeping also can be fraught with challenges. The goal of this fact sheet is to offer some guidelines about client record keeping for programs to consider.
