The Innovation Network offers a new way of conducting program evaluation that focuses less on the traditional approach of "proving whether a program worked" in favor of "improving it to be more successful." This approach to evaluation is executed internally, rather than by using outside evaluators. "By looking systematically at what goes into a program, what the program is doing and producing, and what the program is achieving, this evaluation approach enables program stakeholders both to be accountable for results and to learn how to improve the program."
Contents include chapters on developing an evaluation plan considering both implementation and outcomes as well as methods for collecting data. Appendices include templates for implementation and outcomes.
