The resources in this toolkit can help rural advocates reach out to faith leaders and communities, help faith leaders support victims in their congregations, and help advocates and faith leaders build partnerships to support victims together. Resources were developed specifically for service providers (checklists and outreach guide) and for faith communities (bulletins and flyers for sexual and domestic violence, booklets on each, quick tips on how to help victims), and the toolkit includes a Partnership Guide for both communities. The recently developed training manual (2014) includes 10 interactive training exercises to help faith leaders better understand trauma, power and control, victim-centered responses, and other issues that will help them support victims and provide referrals to services.
