The conference was designed as a facilitated online discussion hosted on a web-based messaging platform that enabled 33 participants from 14 countries to share strategies, pose questions and think about the challenges of organizing and managing community-driven domestic violence prevention initiatives."
Information is organized within four key themes:
- Why is it important to mobilize family, friends and neighbors to prevent domestic violence?
- Strategies for building a grassroots approach to domestic violence prevention.
- Impact of Engaging Community Members: What is the impact of beginning a dialogue / mobilization process to prevent domestic violence in communities? What strategies are we using to evaluate our work?
- Building a Vision for Cha nge: What is your vision for the relationship between formal services and engaging family, friends and neighbors around domestic violence prevention work? How can we integrate domestic violence prevention work into community development and community building initiatives?
