Many of the models were designed specifically to address the kinds of complex traumatic stress issues and problems common in the lives of children and adults seen in public service sector settings today. The report includes detailed information about the intended audience and setting for the models as well as information on what is included in each approach. Although this report primarily focuses on mental health system-based interventions, it does provide a useful overview of the landscape of trauma-informed and trauma-specific services offered in behavioral health settings as of its publication in 2008.
