An Online Resource Library on Domestic & Sexual Violence

No Matter What Campaign: Conversation Toolkit for Middle School+

General Material
New Resources Added
August 13, 2026

The resource uses the ASK. LISTEN. RESPECT. video and accompanying discussion guides to help young people ages 11–16 understand how to ask for consent, recognize enthusiastic verbal consent, and respond respectfully when someone says “no.” It emphasizes that consent is based on communication, respect, and honesty and that young people should learn both how to express their own boundaries and how to respect the boundaries of others. The resource encourages parents and facilitators to begin conversations about consent before dating begins because attitudes and behaviors developed during adolescence can influence future relationships. It also highlights the prevalence and potential effects of teen dating violence, including depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and unhealthy behaviors, while emphasizing that consent education can help young people develop the skills needed for respectful and safer relationships.
