An Online Resource Library on Domestic & Sexual Violence

No Matter What Campaign: Conversation Toolkit for Teens+

General Material
New Resources Added
August 13, 2026

The resource emphasizes that healthy relationships should be built on respect, equality, trust, communication, safety, and mutual effort, rather than control, fear, or abuse. It encourages young people to consider whether concerns raised by family or friends about a partner may point to unhealthy behaviors, while also recognizing that individuals should make decisions based on what is healthiest and safest for them. The resource explains that abusive behaviors, including physical, verbal, emotional, and controlling behavior, are never the survivor’s fault and should not be excused or minimized. It also distinguishes the normal “work” of a healthy relationship, such as communicating, compromising, and resolving disagreements respectfully, from relationships in which one partner consistently disregards the other’s needs or safety. Finally, the resource provides information about campus safety, mandated reporting, school administration, campus police, and other support options, emphasizing that young people can reach out to advocates for confidential guidance and support when dealing with relationship concerns.
