In the latest episode of Policy & Advocacy in Action, Marium Durrani, NRCDV's Director of Policy and Tannia Ventura, FreeFrom's Director of Service Provider Engagement & Education, discuss FreeFrom's report entitled: Survivors Know Best: How to Disrupt Intimate Partner Violence During COVID-19 and Beyond.

Survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV) have been acutely impacted by the pandemic. The FreeFrom report is based upon data collected from over 1,300 survivors of intimate partner violence across 36 states and Puerto Rico. The individuals had applied for cash support from FreeFrom’s Safety Fund during COVID-19 and it is a first of its kind look at how economic abuse impacts survivors; how COVID-19 has exacerbated survivors’ experiences of abuse; and what type of support survivors say they need now and moving forward.
