This article was published in the series Reproductive Health and Rights: Reaching the Hardly Reached by PATH publications. The article provides a general overview of the issue of trafficking, describes obstacles to reaching trafficked persons, and provides solutions for responding to the needs of victims of trafficking through outreach and services. The article focuses on strategies that public health workers can integrate into their daily work to help trafficked persons, as public health organizations may be in a key position to positively impact victims of trafficking at different stages of their movement. Several recommendations, references and resources are provided.
