This webinar explores the latest thinking about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and childhood exposure to domestic violence. Emphasizing the opportunity for primary prevention, presenters will discuss strategies for trauma-informed parenting to prevent the inter-generational transmission of ACEs. The session will increase child care providers and Head Start directors, teachers and family services staff understanding of children’s exposure to violence and ACEs and their impact on the health and well-being of children and families. The webinar will include practical skills learning including how to educate families about ACEs and how to promote resiliency through trauma-informed parenting.
