Untangling the Intersection of HIV & Trauma: Why It Matters and What We Can Do

This article examines the ways trauma in the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS impacts access to and retention in care. It urges policy makers and program managers to push towards a stronger and more comprehensive implementation of trauma informed services as a primary intervention for HIV viral load suppression.
