WEBINAR: NRCDV Policy & Research Briefing: The Intersection of Substance Use and Safe Housing for Survivors

This briefing focuses on substance use coercion as a form of abuse that impacts housing stability for domestic violence survivors. The National Center on Domestic Violence, Trauma, and Mental Health (NCDVTMH) shared findings from a national survey in collaboration with the National Domestic Violence Hotline, and StrongHearts Native Helpline of more than 14,000 survivors about the impacts of mental health and substance use coercion on their housing. This webinar also featured from Women In Transition (WIT), an organization in Philadelphia that provides free and confidential domestic violence and substance use services. To close, NRCDV offered policy recommendations to ensure safe housing for survivors with behavioral health needs.
