The factsheet summarizes each states' dissemination and notification processes including use of the internet, flyers, mail, phone, and fax and indicates where communities are automatically notified vs. where citizens must make requests for the information. Links to publicly accessible web-based state registries are provided in the report. Over two-thirds of U.S. states report they provide State Sex Offender Registry (SOR) information to local and other law enforcement agencies.
