Sexual Abuse and Lifetime Diagnosis of Psychiatric Disorders: Systematic Review and Meta-analysis

This study found a strong association between sexual abuse and several psychiatric disorders, including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, PTSD, sleep disorders, and suicide attempts, regardless of the survivor’s sex or age when the abuse occurred.
