Shelter Health: Essentials of Care for People Living in Shelter - Environmental Health and Safety

Author(s):
This document is a nice guide on how to create shelter environments that are safe and healthy for residents and staff. This guide was developed for homeless shelters, and it provides information on health practices that minimize the spread of communicable diseases in general. Although it is not specific to H1N1/swine flu, the information is timely and applicable to domestic violence shelters. Note that the document also offers sample policies on standard precautions for shelter settings.
