Connecting the Dots: Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and the Intersection with Human Trafficking

Event Date
Thursday, January 30, 2020, 02:00PM

Research has shown that ACEs have a tremendous impact on future violence victimization and perpetration. Studies show that children and youth who experience high levels of traumatic situations are at higher risk of injury, mental health problems, teen pregnancy, violence, and involvement in human trafficking incidents. This interactive training will discuss the latest research on ACEs and the intersection with human trafficking and vulnerable youth. The discussion will also focus on resources available and strategies on how service providers can utilize this information to enhance their approaches when working with children, youth, and families.
