This webinar will be presented in English with Spanish and ASL interpretation.
When you think about an unintended pregnancy, how often do you ask yourself if it was forced? Reproductive coercion are behaviors that interfere with a person’s reproductive autonomy, such as contraceptive sabotage, pregnancy coercion, controlling a pregnancy outcome, or forced sterilization. The National Domestic Violence Hotline reported that in the year after Dobbs, calls about reproductive coercion nearly doubled.
How can we address reproductive coercion post-Dobbs, and how can health center staff, home visitors, and perinatal case managers scaffold primary prevention and harm reduction strategies as a first line of defense for survivors? Join the National Health Resource Center on Domestic Violence for a webinar where you will hear from experts in the field, including a survivor with lived experience. This webinar will help participants identify the dynamics and health impact of IPV and exploitation; how it affects a person’s overall autonomy and reproductive health; and how to implement the CUES intervention to promote equity.
