Serving Human Trafficking Survivors: An Introduction for Domestic Violence Organizations

Event Date
Wednesday, April 17, 2019, 01:00PM

On Wednesday, April 17th at 1:00 PM EST, the National Human Trafficking Hotline (NHTH), operated by Polaris, will join NCADV to explore the intersection of domestic violence and human trafficking. The presentation will help prepare domestic violence professionals who encounter survivors of human trafficking through four objectives: defining human trafficking; describing the intersections between trafficking and domestic violence; identifying promising practices to overcome challenges in sustaining trafficking programs; and highlighting how the allies in the domestic violence field partner with the Hotline to ensure survivors have access to the critical support they need.
