A State-by-State Look at Employment Rights for Survivors of Sexual and Domestic Violence

Event Date
Thursday, December 08, 2022, 03:00PM

Join Futures Without Violence and Legal Momentum for a discussion on state employment laws for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking. Specifically, presenters will discuss the state legislative landscape related to anti-discrimination protections, reasonable accommodations in the workplace, leave and unemployment insurance for survivors.

During the webinar, presenters will open with a survivor's story about how lack of access to state employment protections impacted her life and career. With that context, speakers will present on the legislative history of these laws, how these laws have changed over the past decade, and the future of these laws in state legislatures.
