Domestic Violence & Firearms Policy Summary

Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence (formerly Legal Community Against Violence) is the only national law center focused on providing comprehensive legal expertise in support of gun violence prevention. This publication includes comprehensive background information, a summary of relevant federal law, and a thorough description of state laws that exceed the federal standard regarding domestic violence related firearms prohibitions.

2013 Domestic Violence Fatalities in Washington State

In 2013, 35 people were killed in Washington State as a result of domestic violence. This is significantly fewer than the 54 domestic violence deaths in 2012, and the lowest in the seventeen years WSCADV has been collecting this data.

Domestic Violence Fatalities in Pennsylvania _ 2012

Each year, PCADV tracks and reports on domestic violence-related fatalities in Pennsylvania. "Fatalities" includes both victims killed by the perpetrators and perpetrators who committed suicide or were killed by law enforcement. "Victims" includes all the innocent victims: the intended victims as well as bystanders, children and other family members, and law enforcement officers killed by the perpetrator.

North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence Comprehensive Homicide Report 2002-2010

Since January 1, 2002, NCCADV has collected information regarding domestic violence homicides in North Carolina. Information is gathered from public sources, primarily from media reports, and posted on NCCADVs website. The intention is for this list to serve as a memorial to the victims and their families, and to provide a current representation of the tragic impact domestic violence has in North Carolina.

2013 Annual Femicide Report

The Minnesota Coalition for Battered Women publishes The Femicide Report, a report on women and children murdered in Minnesota, to educate the public about the lethality of domestic violence and child abuse.
