This fact sheet provides an overview of key U.S. national research studies currently available on sexual violence with specific attention to the National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey (NISVS).

On February 26, 2014, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released a report on Intimate Partner Violence in the United States - 2010. The National Sexual Violence Resource provides this set of talking points for highlights on the findings related to sexual violence.

On December 14, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released the initial findings of the National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey (NISVS). This initial set of talking points provide information about the sexual violence findings.

This paper takes a feminist approach to understanding how prevention can be integrated into direct service as a core operating principle of intimate partner violence agencies.
