In Focus: Sexual Violence is the first in a series of research and policy briefs that explore the economic implications of violence and abuse, and offer recommendations to augment and strengthen opportunities to support the economic security of survivors. This toolkit aims to provide domestic violence and HIV/AIDS service providers with information and resources to enhance services for persons exposed to HIV/AIDS and domestic violence.

Although it is clear that a subset of perpetrators do commit multiple acts of rape over time, the research suggests that most perpetrators do not chronically offend over time.
