Illinois Council on Responsible Fatherhood, Annual Report 2011

Responsible Fatherhood Toolkit: Resources From the Field

In addition to providing a comprehensive background on the history of the responsible fatherhood field, the toolkit includes helpful information on starting and building programs, including budgeting, hiring, and sustainability.

Fatherhood Toolkit

Users will learn how to encourage absentee fathers to re-engage with their children, and find strategies for discussing issues such as domestic violence, and learn how to talk with mothers about the importance of fathers presence in their childrens lives. The toolkit is divided into four sections: overview and lessons learned, home visits and group connections, diverse father populations, and additional information and sample resources.

CRFCFW identifies the following purposes of the survey: to identify current programmatic priorities at both the state and local levels; to examine the impact of the financial climate on the existence and range of services provided by responsible fatherhood programs at both the state and the local levels, and; to explore the extent to which programs have responded to increasing funder requests for evidence of program effectiveness.
