An Online Resource Library on Domestic & Sexual Violence
This manual provides a step-by-step approach to understanding how cost-benefit thinking can be applied to domestic violence prevention. Each chapter offers an overview, definition and discussion of relevant terms, statistics and examples, and user-friendly worksheets.
It has sections focused on young children, pre-teens and teenagers, young adults, older adults, adult survivors, and health and human service professionals. It has "additional resources" lists of internet (p.90-100), poster and video resources (p.101- 134) and updated resources (p. 145 - 146). It has a section on publishers and distributors(p. 135 -144).
Before even beginning any evaluation efforts, all programs should consider three important issues: (1) how you will protect the confidentiality and safety of the survivors providing you information, (2) how to be respectful when gathering and using information, and (3) how you will address issues of diversity in your evaluation plan.
