Broken Vows: Religious Perspectives on Domestic Violence

General Material
Published Date
January, 2009
Publisher(s)

Through the stories of six abused women and expert information from Jewish, Roman Catholic and Protestant leaders, Broken Vows addresses how religious teachings have been misused to perpetuate abuse and how religious communities can work proactively to end domestic violence. The video is also a resource to educate secular workers about spiritual issues that may arise for abused women. The study guide for this video was created to help facilitators educate religious communities about domestic violence and the important role that congregations can play in supporting victims/survivors and in preventing violence.
