"Throughout our lives, close relationships with family and friends are an important part of who we are. Many times complicated relationships continue throughout our lives, for better or for worse. In one family, there can be more than one person who experiences victimization and survives abuse; likewise there can be multiple perpetrators of abuse. Each of their experiences will be unique.
